Local Happenings

Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Olson and children were dinner guests at Paul Haugstad’s in Houghtonburg Sunday.

Harve Sessman, of Alma Center, was a visitor in town Sunday.

S. R. Newton and his son-in-law Archie Nelson, of Curran Coulee, autoed to Neillsville Tuesday afternoon to visit the employment office. Mr. Newton was looking for a man to work on his farm for a few weeks while he devotes some time to his fire and tornado insurance work.

Tuesday evening a birthday surprise party was given Mrs. Frank Morre, at which a number of friends were present. A fine lunch was carried and also a nice gift was left with Mrs. Moore.

WARNING - All children are warned to keep off the new ice in the field where ice has been cut for harvest; also keep away from the opening. - Fred Theiler.
