Green, Marie L. (15 SEP 1898 - 5 OCT 1930)

Mrs. Clyde Green died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Hurth, two miles north of town (Dorchester, Clark Co., Wis.), Sunday evening, Oct. 5th, 1930, of tuberculosis and was laid to rest Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 8th. Services were held in the Little White Church, Rev. P.F. Walter officiating and burial in the cemetery south of town (Memorial South). The pallbearers were Pete Schumacher, Dell Winchell, John Boxrucker, Herman Fritsche, Wm. Schroeder and Wm. Tauchen.

Marie Louis Hurth was born Sept. 15, 1898, at Menomonie, Wis., and was one of 8 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Hy Hurth. She was married to Clyde Green Oct. 15, 1914, and two children were born to them, Le Roy Delos, aged 12, and Ruth Evelyn, aged 7, who with their father, survive her. For 15 years the Greens lived in Eau Claire where Mrs. Green, because of ill health, entered the Mt. Washington Sanitarium on Sept. 10, 1929, with the hope of being restored to full health again. This last summer she came to stay with the home folks where she died Sunday evening while conversing with her mother.

She leaves, besides her own children, her parents, four brothers, Michael of Owen, Anton, address unknown, Frank and George of Dorchester, and 3 sisters, Miss Rosa of Wausau, Laura, Mrs. Ernest Mehner of this village, and Margaret, Mrs. Frederick Ludwig of Stetsonville.

Mrs. Green was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Eau Claire and loved and honored by all who knew her, a loving mother and a gentle daughter, sweetened by illness and made ready for the world beyond.

May God comfort as only he can, the bereaved ones.
