Lorraine Williams Wed To PFC. Eugene J. Allar

Wearing a powder blue frock with brown accessories and a corsage of red roses, Miss Lorraine E. Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Williams of Unity became the bride of Pfc. Eugene J. Allar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allar of Unity. The ceremony was read Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. in the parsonage of the Evangelical and Reformed Church at Colby by the Rev. Robert G. Leonhardt. Attendants were Pvt. Leslie Williams of Unity, a brother of the bride, and Miss Geraldine Kiehl of Auburndale. Miss Kiehl was attired in a soft peach colored dress with brown accessories. Flowers were pinned to her shoulder. Blue, peach and white streamers decorated the Williams home for the dinner following the wedding ceremony. When they return from their wedding trip they will reside temporarily at the Williams home. Both attended Unity school with the bride graduating from high school in 1945. She is employed at Marshfield. Pfc. Allar was inducted into Army service Mar. 22, 1944, and received his initial training in Arkansas. He was sent overseas in September of the same year and was wounded in action Oct. 23, 1944. He arrived home on a 90-day furlough Dec. 20, 1945, and has to report back for duty March 20, at Ft. Sheridan.
