Treankler, Dwight, Sr (19 Jan. 1937 - 2 March 2007)

Dwight Treankler Sr.

Dwight Treankler Sr., 70, of Abbotsford died March 2, 2007, at Continental Manor in Abbotsford, Wis.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. John Malik will officiate. Dwight's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis.

Dwight was born Jan. 19, 1937, in March Rapids, the only son of Floyd and Mary (Schraufnagel) Treankler. He graduated from Abbotsford, Wis. High School in 1955. Dwight and Mary Ann Misener were married July 27, 1957, and later divorced. Dwight worked for Packaging Corporation of America and owned the Colby A&W Root Beer Stand. He later owned and operated the Central State Speedway. He graduated with honors from NTC with a degree in marketing. He enjoyed hunting, Packer and Badger games and sports in general. Dwight served for four years in the National Guard Unit of Abbotsford, Wis. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Dwight is survived by his children: Terri Treankler of Colby, Sheri (Russell) Bunkelman of Athens, Dan (Ramona) Treankler of Altoona, Dwight (Vicky) Treankler Jr. of Abbotsford, Rob (Denise) Treankler of Fall Creek and Shannon (Niaomi) Treankler of Marathon; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister: Virginia (Allen) Stange of Abbotsford, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene.
