Lezotte, Mark (9 July 1887 - 20 June 1941)

Mark Lezotte, 53, died at his home, 301 South Sixth Street, Fort Atkinson, Friday, June 20th, at 6:20 a.m., two days after suffering a stroke.

Mr. Lezotte was born in Neillsville July 9, 1887, going to Fort Atkinson in 1909. He was employed as a meat cuter at the Jones Dairy farm and also worked as a carpenter.

On August 11, 1911, he was married to Helen Schroeder.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Melvin Lezotte, Fort Atkinson; five daughters, Mrs. Lester Jahnke, Sullivan; Mrs. Irvin Miller of Jefferson; Virginia, Betty Jane and Donna Mae Lezotte at home; two brothers, Irving, Fort Atkinson; and Archie Lezotte, Jefferson; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Walters and Mrs. Otto Miller, Neillsville, and Mrs. Roland Hartel, Fort Atkinson, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on the Sunday following his death in the Downing Funeral Chapel, Fort Atkinson, the Rev. Henry Gieschen of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church officiating.
