Marx, Rose Elizabeth (Marriage - 3 May 1941)

Miss Rose Elizabeth Marx, daughter of Mrs. John Marx of 148 West Sixth Street, Neillsville, became the bride of Richard Krantz of Eau Claire at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3. Marriage vows were exchanged in the presence of 20 relatives and close friends, Rev. Fr. J. A. Biegler performing the single-ring ceremony. Mrs. O. A. Rogstad, Oshkosh, Wis., a sister of the groom, and John Bornhofen, Owen, the bride’s cousin, attended the couple.

The bride wore a powder blue crepe dress with navy blue accessories. Her flowers were a beautiful arrangement of pink roses. Mrs. Rogstad wore a flowered crepe dress with a corsage of gardenias and sweet peas.

At five o’clock a dinner was served at the Merchants Hotel where covers were laid for 40 guests. Pink and blue was the color scheme carried out in the table decorations. Miss Mary K. Bornhofen of Owen sang two solos, "Indian Love Call" and "At Dawning."

The couple left on a wedding trip to the southern part of the state. They will be at home at 148 West Sixth Street after May 10.

She has been a loyal daughter in the home as well, kindly and considerate of her aged parents.

Mr. Krantz is a graudate of the Rice Lake High school. He is employed as a theatrical director, a gentleman of clean habits and is well liked by his friends and business associates.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Rogstad, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. John Bornhofen and daughter, Mary K., Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Orth and Mr. and Mrs. James Caton, Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Arendt, Marshfield.
