Riedel, Harold (1895 - 4 Feb. 1941)

Harold Riedel, 46, adopted son of Henry Riedel, formerly of Caytiga, now making his home with the Arnold Worchel family, Granton, passed away at International Falls, Minn., the home of his foster mother. The remains were laid to rest there, the American Legion having charge of the services.

In 1907 Harold left Mellen, Wisconsin; with Company C., 6th Wisconsin Infantry, National Guard. At Camp McArthur, Texas, he was transferred to the 121st Field Artillery with a number of other Mellen men, seeing service in France with that organization.

Before going to International Falls about four years ago, he was a member of the Mellen Legion Post.
