Lindquist, Lizzie K. (11 OCT 1870 - 25 MAY 1932)

Mrs. Eph. Lindquist, living northwest of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died at her home here Wednesday, May 25, 1932, from heart trouble, aged 61 years, 6 months and 14 days.

Lizzie Katrina Kronberg was born near Wexio, Sweden, on Oct. 11, 1870. At the age of sixteen she, with her brothers, Peter, Mike and Charles, and her mother, Mrs. Ingrid Maria Kronberg, emigrated to America, arriving at Thorp June 24, 1886.

On Aug. 9, 1889 she was married to Ephraim Lindquist and they made their home on a farm one and one-half miles west of Thorp, which at that time was vigin woods. Twelve children were born to them, all of whom are living except Donald, who died Jan. 2, 1922, at the age of eleven. Those left to mourn her death are her husband and daughters, Jennie of Spencer; Ella, Milwaukee; Mrs. Chester A. Johnson (nee Minnie), Stillwater, Minn.; Mrs. Floyd G. Holstein (nee Esther), Edgar, Montana; Ruth of Eau Claire; and Lorraine at home; and sons, Lawrence, Menasha; Russell, Hardin, Montana; Charles and Kenneth, Madison; and Durward of Thorp, and one grandchild, Gretchen Holstein, Edgar, Mont., and three brothers, John Kronberg, Forbes, N.D., and Peter and Mike Kronberg of this village. Anoth brother, Chas. Kronberg, died on Dec. 25th, 1915.

Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church May 28th, 1932, Rev. James Irish officiating. Interment took place at the village cemetery.

Besides all the children, those from out of town present at the funeral were John Kronberg, Forbes, N.D.; C.A. Johnson, Stillwater, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. W. Baum, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Ulrich, Eau Claire; Eva Kronberg, Cumberland, Esther Kronberg, Oconto Falls; Miss Wright, Oconto Falls; J.E. Kitowski and N. Calder, Menasha; Madeline Treutel, Goodman; Mrs. O. Glasshoff, Menasha; Mary Edna Walsh, New Richmond; Mrs. G. Brown, Stanley; Lilas Aslakson, Stanley; John Slovinski, Stanley; Mrs. C. Peterson and Hanna Peterson, Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Roehl, Greenwood; Miss Williams, Spencer; Mrs. J. Means, Owen; Mr.a nd Mrs. Frank Schultz, Abbotsford, and J.D. Elmendorf, Withee.
