Cook, Charles W. (15 MAR 1847 - 28 JUL 1931)

Charles W. Cook, aged eighty-four years, died at his home at Stanley on Tuesday, July 28th, 1931. For a period of twenty-eight years he resided on a farm southwest of this village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.), now occupied by his son Edmund. A few years ago he moved to Stanley. Mr. cook was born in New Brunswick, Can., on March 15th, 1847, where he grew to manhood. In 1874 he was united in marriage to Miss Martha Doo and a few years later came to Stanley to reside. Surviving him are his wife and three children, Mrs. Anna McMiller of Minneapolis, Alex Cook of Cornell and Edmund of Thorp; also six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon last from the M.E. Church here, Rev. A. Falgren of Stanley officiating; interment following the services in the Thorp Village Cemetery.
