Taylor, William F. (1873 - 7 DEC 1936)

The Rev. William Francis Taylor, 63 years old, passed away Monday morning at St. Luke’s Hospital, Chicago. Father Taylor had been ailing in health for some time. Last January he had been forced to give up his parish at Ripon, Wis., and since that time had been living in Evanston.

Father Taylor was the vicar of St. Katherine’s Mission, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), from March 1926 until August 1929. His interest and devotion to people, and his contributions to civic affairs won for him many friends in this community. He was beloved by many and respected by all who knew him. He was admired for his ability, his learning, and his friendliness. His pastorate here was particularly appreciated by his congregation.

The Requiem Mass was held Wednesday morning at St. Luke’s Pro-Cathedral, Evanston. Burial will be in Troy, N.Y.

A Requiem Mass was also held at St. Katherine’s Church, Wednesday morning. The attendance was a fine testimonial that Father Taylor had endeared himself to many families here.

Surviving are Mrs. Jennie Stewart Taylor, two sons and a daughter. To them we extend our sympathies.
