Wallace, Edith (31 AUG 1916)

Last evening at five o’clock (Thursday, Aug. 31st, 1916) at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Wallace in Moon Park occurred the marriage of their daughter, Edith, to Dr. M.B. Ketchpaw of Bloomer. The rooms were decorated in early autumn colors, golden glow and goldenrod predominating. The bride wore a gown of peach colored Georgetta crepe and Mrs. Oscar Brendgord, who officiated as maid of honor, wore a gown of pink crepe. Miss Dagny Hoidahl presided at the piano and rendered the Mendelssohn Wedding March as the party approached the altar where Dr. G.M. Orvis of the Park Presbyterian Church pronounced the ceremony. The groom was attended by Joe Wannis of Bloomer. In addition to the above, the only out of town guests were Mrs. House of Bloomer and Miss Eva Gregerson of Rice Lake.

The bride is one of Stanley’s fairest and most beloved daughters. For 21 years Stanley has been her home. She was graduated from the high school with the class of 1910 and from the Stevens Point Normal School with the class of 1912. For four years she has been teaching in the public schools at Bloomer, where began the romance which has deprived Stanley of one of its most charming characters. Mrs. Ketchpaw is a successful veterinarian….(the rest of my copy was cut off)
