Kindt, August (15 MAY 1872 - 6 FEB 1941)

Funeral rites will be conducted Sunday afternoon for August Kindt, 68, who died Thursday morning shortly after 5 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient since Jan. 31. Death followed a lingering illness.

A short service at the Kindt home will precede the 2 o’clock church service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, at which the Rev. Adolph Schuman will officiate. Burial will be made in the church cemetery,

Mr. Kindt was born in Germany May 15, 1872, and came to the United States 54 years ago. He moved from Wilton to Greenwood in 1924, and since that time the Kindt family resided on a farm 5 ¼ miles south of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) on Highway 73.

Besides his wife he is survived by nine children, Mrs. Vern (Wanda) Haden, Wilton; Mrs. William (Hulda) Hubert, Tomah; Mrs. Frank (Hertha) Marg, Greenwood; Mrs. Archie (Olga) Timerson, Neillsville; Miss Lillian Kindt, at home; Walter Kindt, Neillsville; Albert Kindt, Sherman; and Edwin and Allen Kindt, at home.

A daughter, Melta, preceded him in death in October 1939.
