Hillert, Evelyn (12 JUN 1942)

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hillert of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Evelyn Hillert, to Staff Sgt Jack Burroughs, son of Prof. Leland M. Burroughs, Stevens Point, in a candlelight nuptial ceremony which took place June 12, 1942 in the First English Lutheran Church at Louisville, Ky.

The bride, who was graduated from the Granton (Clark Co.) High School and Central State Teachers College at Stevens Point, also attended Lawrence College at Appleton. At present she is teaching in the Cadott High School.

Staff Sgt Burroughs, also a graduate of Central State Teachers College, attended Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Prior to his induction into the Army he was an instructor in Appleton Senior High School.

Following his graduation from the Fort Knox Radio School he became a radio operator in the 48th Medical Battalion Headquarters, Second Armored Division, and is now stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
