Elmer R. Haselow

OWEN -- Elmer Robert Haselow, 96, of Owen, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Owen, Wis. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Visitation will be from 1 a.m. to service time Dec. 20 at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born Aug. 26, 1910, on a farm near Loyal to William and Bertha (Bloedow) Haselow. He opened a Gamble Hardware dealership in Owen, Wis. He married Helen Weaver in 1936 and they continued with Gambles until 1956. He then switched the store to an independent dealership with Cotter Company of Chicago, retiring in 1972. His wife died in 1996, and he married Margaret Sawdty in 1998.

He is survived by his sons, Douglas (Joan), Memonomee Falls, Duane Haselow, Wautoma, and Dr. Robert (Justine) Haselow, Edina, Minn.; a daughter, Linda (Al) Dallman, Greenwood; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. His wife, Margaret Sawdy of Owen, also survives.
