Volarich, Mary (17 MAY 1941)

Given in marriage by her father, Miss Mary Volarich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Volarich of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Frank Volovsek Sr. of Willard, in a ceremony performed at 9 o’clock Saturday morning, May 17, 1941, in the Holy Name Church at Willard. The Rev. Marcel Marinsek read the rites.

A satin princes-style gown with a long train was worn by the bride, and she carried a shower bouquet of carnations and sweet peas. Her long veil fell from a tiara of seed pearls. Miss Olga Volarich attended as maid of honor in a blue gown of marquisette over net and a matching bonnet. She carried pink carnations and sweet peas.

Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Rutar, Miss Kathryn Muskatevc, Mrs. Albert Penne, and Miss Anna Volovsek, who wore pink marquisette over net and orchid marquisette over net with matching bonnets. Joe Volovsek was best man, and Leo Muskatevc, Albert Penne, Stanley Volovsek and Cyril Rakovec acted as ushers.

Forty guests attended the wedding luncheon served at the home of the bride’s parents, and 250 guests were present at supper. Streamers of white, blue, pink and orchid decorated the home.

Mr. and Mrs. Volovsek Jr. will reside on the groom’s farm at Willard.

Out of town guests who attended the nuptials included Mr. and Mrs. Albert Penne, Miss Kathryn Muskatevc, Mr. and Mrs. John Rayster, W. Dvornik, J. Crnovsek, Frank Breznovick, Joe Volovsek, Mrs. Vito Staut, Leo Muskatevc, all of Milwaukee, and John Rakovec of South Chicago, Ill.
