Lindemann, Helen (14 SEP 1939)

Tall tapers in candelabra and bouquets of fall flowers graced the altar of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) for the wedding of Miss Helen Lindemann, daughter of Mrs. Hilda Lindemann, Greenwood, to Fred Perko, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Perko, Willard, which was performed by the Rev. J.J. Novak Thursday morning at 9 o’clock.

A street length dress of grape-wine velvet, accented with black accessories, was worn by the bride. She carried a prayer book.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kebl were the couple’s only attendants. Mrs. Kebl wore a blue silk dress with black accessories. Both she and the bride wore shoulder corsages.

Immediate relatives and friends were entertained at a wedding dinner and supper at the home of the bride’s mother. Covers were laid for 20 guests. White bells and flowers decorated the residence, and a large wedding cake centered the table.

Out of town guests included the bride’s sister, Miss Marian Lindemann, her grandmother, Mrs. James Macklin, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Henning, all of Davenport, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Schunk, Marshfield.

In the evening a wedding dance was given at the Silver Dome Ballroom in Neillsville, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Perko will make their home with the bride’s mother. Mr. Perko is employed as a bartender for Frank LaBanta at Greenwood. The bride has been employed at Korrupp’s Café, Greenwood, for the past year and a half.
