Fravert, Laverne (20 OCT 1938)

Baskets of white dahlias banked an improvised arch of white crepe to form an attractive setting for the marriage of Miss Laverne Fravert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fravert, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Erwin Toburen, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Toburen, Greenwood, which took place on Oct. 20, 1938 in the living room of the Fravert residence.

The Rev. P.H. Franzmeier read the marriage service at 2 o’clock in the presence of immediate relatives and friends.

White satin, with rosebud trim was worn by the bride, whose corsage bouquet combine white lilies and pink roses. Her long veil fell in soft folds from a beaded crown.

Miss Dolores Toburen, sister of the bridegroom and Miss Loriena Humke, who attended the bride, were dressed in taffeta jacket-effect frocks of aqua and pink respectively. Both wore floral wreaths in their hair and short face veils. Their bouquets were of roses and carnations.

Lawrence Kuester and Delmar Toburen, brother of the bridegroom attended Mr. Toburen.

Approximately 125 guests were entertained at a reception and wedding dinner at the home of the bride’s parents. Guests from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Toburen, Wausau; Miss Ruth Toburen, Chicago; Mrs. Emma Trimberger and son, Victor, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schoettler and son, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fravert and son, Arthur, Loyal.

Mr. Toburen and his bride left on a wedding trip to the southern part of the state, and on their return will make their home with the bride’s parents. The bridegroom is engaged in farming.
