Berthold, Harry William Paul (18 Sept. 1903 - 4 Nov. 1939)

Funeral services for Harry William Paul Berthold were held at the farm home at Willard, RFD 1, Saturday afternoon, November 4, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial was made in the town of Seif Cemetery.

Mr. Berthold passed away at five o’clock a.m. November 1 at the Neillsville hospital, where he underwent an operation for ruptured appendix. His illness was of six-day duration.

Mr. Berthold was born in the town of Grant September 18, 1903, to Herman and Louisa (Gorgsegner) Berthold, having attained the age of thirty-six years, two months and thirteen days. He had been a life-long resident of Clark County. Mr. Berthold and two brothers, Edward and Walter, operated the home farm, the father having died about twelve years ago. The other brother, Morris, is married and lives on a farm in the same township. Besides the mother and three brothers, he is survived by a sister (Minnie) Mrs. Harvey Grap. A brother, Oswin, and a sister (Elsie) Mrs. Jason Bostwick, preceded him in death.

He was a kind and loving son and brother, a pleasing friend and a helpful neighbor.

Pallbearers were Lawrence and John Halbrader, Teddy Zajoc, Harold Lange, Robert Seif, and Lyle Humbolt.
