Reineck, Rosemary (September 22, 1920 - November 11, 2006)

Rosemary Reineck, age 86 of Neillsville, formerly of Alma Center, has joined her husband Ray in their eternal rest. Rosemary passed away on Saturday November 11, 2006.

Rosemary was born on September 22, 1920 to Mike and Stella Hohn in Alma Center. She graduated from Edison High School in Alma Center. She worked part-time for Dr. Wilfred Heurson during her high school days. After graduation she worked at the Schultz Bros. Dime Store at Black River Falls until her marriage to Ray Reineck of Hixton on April 22, 1940. They then farmed in Garden Valley for 10 years, moving to Neillsville on a smaller farm in Globe due to Mr. Reineck’s health.

Rosemary worked in the hot lunch program at Neillsville Public Schools for 14 years as Food Service Manager and later attended short courses through the University of Madison and became a Dietician. She later went to work at Sunburst youth Homes and worked in the same capacity for 16 years. She retired July 1, 1985 due to poor health.

She loved cooking, and did lots of catering for many clubs and organizations in Neillsville, Wis. She loved baking and decorating cakes for weddings and different activities. Her biggest loves were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she loved very dearly. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Cecelia’s Circle.

Rosemary is survived by two children, Margaret (Vern) Mayer, of Neillsville; and Randy (Julie) Reineck, of Granton. She is also survived by grandchildren, Rick (Maritess) Mayer, of Aloha, OR; Rodney (Jennifer) Mayer, of Neillsville; Amy Reineck, of St. Paul, MN; Angela (Matt) Johnson, of Oconomowoc, WI; Rachel Olson, of Neillsville; Lori (Steve) Travis, of Greenwood; great grandchildren, Chase, Brandon and Hunter Mayer, Ellie and Reina Johnson, Trevor Barth and Rogan Travis; sisters-in-law, Mavis Hohn, of Alma Center; Muriel Reineck, of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents; three brothers; and one precious granddaughter, Gina Mayer.

Funeral services for Rosemary will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville, Wis. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Neillsville, Wis.

Pallbearers are Rodney Mayer, Robert Hohn, Mickey Hohn, Matthew Johnson, Daniel Schreiner and Randy Schreiner.
