Parrett, William (1861 - 4 May 1907)

After an illness lasting over two weeks William Parrett died Saturday evening May 4th of pneumonia. His death occurred at the home of Geo. Burnett in Brighton where he was stopping. He received the best of care and medical attendance but his constitution was too weak to withstand the ravages of that dread disease. Like the rest of mankind William had his faults but was a good citizen with a big heart and generous to a fault. He had resided in the vicinity of Unity for nearly thirty years following the occupation of logging in the winter and stone mason in the summer.

During the past two years he has been logging under contract for the Owen Lumber Co. He was unmarried at the time. His wife having died many years ago.

He was born in Osceola, Fond du Lac county in 1861.

He is survived by two brothers and three sisters; Frank of the town of Unity; Joseph of Fond du Lac county; and Mrs. Julia Hebert of Campbellsport; Mrs. Florina Flinn of Auburn, Fond du Lac county and Mrs. Robt. Burnett of the town of Unity.

The funeral was held from the Spencer M. E. Church Tuesday and the body was laid at rest beside that of his wife. Rev. Christiansen officiated.
