Har, Joseph (1859 - 25 OCT 1929)

After seven weeks illness at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Joseph Har, pioneer resident of Fairview, died last Friday evening at the age of about 70 years. Mr. Har, who made his home with his nephew and family, Joseph Pflieger, had been in failing health for a number of years, and was taken to the hospital for treatment seven weeks ago, where he passed away. The remains were brought to this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.) last Saturday and were taken to St. Joseph’s Church for funeral services Monday forenoon. The funeral was conducted by the parish priest, Rev. N.S. Thomas, with undertaker M. Kretschmer in charge. Burial was in the cemetery at the church.

Mr. Har was a native of Bavaria, and came to this county fifty years ago, making his home in Fairview vicinity the greater part of the time since. For a number of years he lived on the farm with his nephew. He leaves two nephews, Joseph and Al Pflieger, four nieces, and one brother in the old country. Mr. Har was a man well liked by all who knew him.
