Clark, Lee E. (January 2, 1917 - August 24, 2004)

Lee E. Clark, age 87, of Withee, died on Tuesday, August 24, 2004. Services were held Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Gilman Funeral Home in Gilman. Visitation was on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gilman Funeral Home and on Saturday until the time of the service. Family members served as pallbearers.

Lee was born on January 2, 1917 in Hannibal, WI, the son of Sydney and Frances (Herrick) Clark. At a young age the family moved to Polley, where he grew up, and then later moved to Hannibal. On July 8, 1937 Lee was united in marriage to Ethel York in Hannibal, WI. Previously Lee worked for the W.P.A. and was a logger in Ely, Minnesota. He later worked for Foremost Foods in Owen, WI for many years, retiring 25 years ago. He liked hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by one son, Ken (Linda) of Withee, WI; three daughters: Rosalee (Arnold) Diamond of Hannibal, WI; Joyce Orth and Susan Andrew both of Withee, WI; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grand-children. He is also survived by one brother, Burton Clark of California, and two sisters: Shirley Martin of Sacramento, California, and Nathale Frese of Thorp, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel in 1997, one grandson, Scott Diamon, and one great-grandson, Daniel Lechleitner, plus two brothers, Roswell and Rodney Clark.
