Schultz, Ferdinand (22 March 1854 - *4 Jan. 1939)*Could be off.

Ferdinand Schultz, 84, a pioneer resident of Neillsville, died at 12:30 o’clock Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George White, Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

Ill for some time, Mr. Schultz was taken to Rhinelander, December 12 from Rib Lake, where he had been visiting a step-daughter.

Born March 22, 1854, in Germany, he came to the United States when a young man and settled at Neillsville, Wis. Since retiring from farming a number of years ago, he has lived with his children in several Wisconsin places.

Besides his daughter, Mrs. White, he leaves one son, Wm. Schultz of Granton, one step-son, Paul Handke, Granton, two step-daughters, Mrs. Adolph Schune, Granton and Mrs. Bertha Smith of Rib Lake. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jackson of Disco, Wis.; and Mrs. Mathilda Wedekind of Neillsville, and one brother, William Schultz of Neillsville, Wis.

Following a short service at Rhineland Thursday afternoon, the body was taken to Granton, Friday were services were conducted by Rev. Buth in the afternoon from the American Lutheran Church. Burial was made in the church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Goebel, Theodore Bielke, Ernest Schlinsog, Arnold Winter, Robert Schale, and Fred Schlinsog.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. George Shaw, Mrs. Wedekind of Neillsville, Herman Smith, Rib Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Lebrecht Kalsow of Globe; and Mr. and Mrs. George White, Rhinelander.
