Roberts, Clyde A. (August 11, 1948 - August, 2006)

Clyde A. Roberts, age 57, of 12401 Cty Hwy H, Town of Delmar, Stanley, WI passed away from injuries received from a traffic accident in Indiana. A Christian Burial Mass was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Hold Family Catholic Church, Stanley, WI with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends and family called on Monday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley, WI and one hour prior to service time Tuesday morning. A 7:30 Rosary was recited Monday evening. The family requested no flowers please.

Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.

Clyde was born on August 11, 1948 in Boyd, WI the son of Fred and Lillian (Rose) Roberts. He attended Thorp schools from grades 1-11, graduating from the Stanley-Boyd High School in 1966. he then attended a two year course in Madison, helped on the home farm, logged for 10 years, ran a bulldozing business, drove as a relief driver for Mertens Milk Hauling and drove semi truck for Thums Trucking Firm, Millis Transfer of Black River Falls, WI.

Clyde was a caring, loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He enjoyed most of the outdoors and could fix most anything. He loved hiking, camping, motor cycling, cookouts, kayaking, ATV riding and family get-togethers.

Clyde is survived by his father Fred Roberts of Stanley, WI; four brothers: Dave (Anita) Roberts of Milwaukee, WI, Fred (Carole) Roberts of Stewardville, MN, Gary (Paula) Roberts of Colorado City, CO, and Kenneth Roberts of Stanley, WI; one sister, Mary (Clarence) Grindle of Stanley, WI; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lil in 2001, one brother Jim in 2005, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
