Pederson, Margaret J. (March 27, 1919 - July 27, 2006)

Margaret J Pederson, age 87, of Granton died July 27, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Wis.

Margaret was born March 27, 1919 in Bethesda, TN to Frank and Cynthia (White) Brumbach. She was educated in Tennessee graduating from Bethesda High School. Before marriage she was employed at a bank in Tennessee. Margaret married Merle Pederson on January 16, 1943 at Rollo, MO. They lived in Tennessee and Illinois from 1945-1949. They moved to a farm in the Town of Cary. From 1965-1973 they owned and operated Deer Trail Café on Hwy 73 in the Town of Sherwood. Margaret continued to reside there after retirement. She entered the Neillsville Memorial Home in April of 2005.

Margaret was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She liked animals, flowers, gardening and sewing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by four children, Charles Pederson, of Sparta; Carol (Kenneth) Blattler, of Curtiss; Betty (Robert) Langreck, of Germantown; and Leroy Pederson, of Granton; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one brother-in-law, Jim (Gerry) Pederson of Marshfield; and one sister-in-law, Letah Popenhagen, of Richmond, IL.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Merle on May 17, 1999; one brother, Frank Brumbach; and one sister, Carolyn Benjamin.

Funeral services were held Monday July 31, 2006 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Rev. Ronald Johnson officiated. Burial was in the Sherwood Cemetery.

Buchanan Funeral Home, of Neillsville handled the arrangements.
