McGuire, Adeline "Addie" Marie (August 10, 1936 - August 10, 2006)

Adeline Marie "Addie" (Meier) McGuire, age 70, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully after a long illness on her 70th birthday, Thursday, August 10, 2006, to join her beloved husband Richard T. McGuire in Heaven.

Adeline was born August 10, 1936, in Neillsville, Wis. Salem, OR, high-school sweethearts Addie and Richard married in 1955, moved around the U. S. frequently while in the Air Force. They were finally stationed at Nellis A. F. B. in 1970. Addie resided in Las Vegas for 36 years and worked for 30 years as an administrative secretary for the Clark County (NV) School District (working for two former school district superintendents). She will be missed by many. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, playing with her many grandchildren, and watching Wheel of Fortune and "her soaps." She was also a devout Lutheran.

She is survived by her mother, Marie (Hagedorn) Meier, of Las Vegas; a brother, Franklin Meier; sons, Michael, Patrick and Richard W; a daughter, Teresa Marshall; nieces, Catherine Meier, Elizabeth Meier, and Jennifer Kelly; along with 10 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Addie’s name to the C.C.S.D.’s Public Education Foundation (http://ccpef.org/) or the Scleroderma Foundation (www.scleroderma.org)
