Gotter, Dorothy Margaret (3 Jan. 1859 - 9 July 1938)

Mrs. Dorothy Margaret Gotter, 79, died Saturday morning at her home in Lynn. Death resulted from a lingering illness caused by a stroke Oct. 30, 1937. For the past four years she had been seriously ill.

Mrs. Gotter, nee Dorothy Margert Bettner, was born Jan. 3, 1859, in Sheboygan County. She was married to August Gotter Jan. 7, 1879, at Potter, where she lived until March 8, 1901. From Potter they moved to Lynn, and she had made her home here ever since. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church April 2, 1871.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Lazetta Christman of Hartford; Mrs. Henry (Ella) Schlinsog, Granton; Mrs. Charles (Linora) Schuelke, Cobb; Richard Gotter, Loyal; Ferdinand Gotter, Stratford; and Selma and Arno Gotis Riedel, Potter, 25 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Her husband and two sons pre- ****ter, at home. One sister, Mrs. Lou-ceded her in death. Mr. Gotter died March 25, 1929; Albert Gotter, Sept. 30, 1914; and Robert Gotter, Nov. 3, 1918. ****[this is the way it was typed. It looks like it got a little scrambled before going to the press.]

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the home and at 2 o’clock in the Granton Lutheran Church, Rev. A. E. Laesch officiating at the rites, and interment was made in the church Cemetery.
