Henry E. Rogalski, age 81, of Thorp died on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Fr. Keith Apfelbeck officiated. Burial followed in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ian Ramer, Roy Mendalski, Mike Fazendin, Wayne Sondgeroth, Tom Gray and Don Mattes. Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service.

Henry Edmond Rogalski was born on April 1, 1925 in Thorp, WI, to Joseph and Josephine (Mycon) Rogalski. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Sterling School and Thorp High School. Henry was united in marriage to Florence Norysewicz on August 25, 1951 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp. Hank farmed and also went to work for Mattes Livestock. He sold the farm in 1973 and built a house in Thorp. He continued to work for Mattes Livestock until retiring in 1991 after 40 years of service to them. During his retirement, Hank enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Florence, of Thorp; one daughter Barbara (James) Pyle of Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren: Shannon (Ian) Ramer, Shellon Lee (fiancé Roy Mendalski), Marie Pyle, Emily Pyle; two step-great grandchildren; Nicole and Frank Mendalski; and two sisters: Net (Frank) Frysiek of Philadelphia, PA and Clara Lendosky of West Bend, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jacqueline Lee on February 29, 2004; two sisters: Clara Rogalski and Lillian Johnson; and one brother Edward Rogalski.
