Greene, Helen A. (16 JAN 1873 - 19 MAR 1916)

Mrs. Harry Greene died at her home in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Sunday morning, March 19th, 1916, at 2:40, of apoplexy, aged 43 years, 2 months and 3 days.

Helen Albertina Gruenewald was born in West Bend, Wis., Jan. 16th, 1873; she was married to Harry Greene Oct. 6th, 1894. The family resided on a farm in the town of Hull (Marathon Co.) for several years, then sold the farm and moved to Milwaukee. Later they returned to Colby and purchased another farm, from which they recently moved to the city. She leaves her husband and son Tracey Samuel, to mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother. She is also survived by three brothers and six sisters.

The funeral was held from the Immanuel Reform Church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. R.R. Braddick officiating.

Relatives from out of town who were here to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Walter, North Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Greene, Wm. Gruenewald, Miss Bertha Gruenewald, Mrs. Robert Gruetzmacher, Mrs. Ernest Deutschbein, Miss Lovilla Deutschbein, of Waupun; Miss Fred Bloohm, Miss Minnie Gruenewald, of Oakfield; Richard Gruenewald of Brandon; Wm. Greene of Mountain.
