Mikotis, Mary (2 MAY 1934)

On Wednesday, May 2nd a very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, the Rev. Gerald Schuh officiating, when Joseph Suda Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Suda Sr., of the Town of Beaver, and Miss Mary Mikotis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mikotis, of the Town of Warner, were united in marriage.

The couple were attended by Martha Mikotis, sister of the bride and Joseph Herr.

The bride was attired in a beautiful white satin gown trimmed with insets of lace and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations and ferns. The bridesmaid wore a lovely Alice blue silk dress. The groom’s suit was blue and the best man’s suit was of maroon brown.

After the ceremony all went to the home of the bride’s parents where a sumptuous dinner was served to a large company of relatives and friends. After the dinner the bridal party motored to Neillsville where they visited the photographers.

Mr. and Mrs. Suda will make their home on the groom’s farm in the town of Beaver, known to old settlers as the Vandehey place.

In the evening the groom gave a wedding dance at Merry Ol’ Gardens which was attended by a very large crowd.

The Tribune joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
