Eberhardy, Norbert P. (19 APR 1924 - 5 DEC 2011)

Norbert P. Eberhardy, 87, Schofield, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, Weston.

He was born April 19, 1924 in Stratford, son of the late John and Theresa (Weister) Eberhardy. On August 24, 1949 he married Charlotte Sippl at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. She survives.

Norbert served his country in the United States Marines for 21 years, serving in the South Pacific, Japan, China and Korea. After his military service he worked at International Harvester for 10 years until retirement. He was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, Schofield; sons, David (Cathy) Eberhardy, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bob (Teri) Eberhardy, Kronenwetter and Jim (Shirley Merker) Eberhardy, Sun Prairie; daughters, Mary Eberhardy, Weston, Nancy Niziolek, Weston and Sue (Mark) Schrieber, Chowchilla, California; grandchildren, Becky (Chad) Thomas, Frisco, Texas, Sara Eberhardy, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Justin Rozek, Rocklin, California, Quinten and Trent Eberhardy, both of Kronenwetter; step-grandson, Joel Schrieber, California; 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Arnold Eberhardy, Wausau; sisters, Dolores Eberhardy, Sun City, Arizona, Marian (Orville) Wetterau, Tomahawk, Florence Beilke, Wausau and Irene Haebig, Wausau.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Socha; brothers-in-law, Leonard Socha, Bob Haebig and Richard Beilke and a step-grandson, Mark Schreiber Jr.

Private family services will be held.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
