Hart, Simpson B. (Aug. 31 1835 - Sept. 16, 1911)

"After several weeks serious and lingerling illness, Simpson B. Hart, a soldier citizen and farmer of Nasonville, and a man who had the respect and good will of all, passed away at his home Wednesday evening September 6th. The funeral was held Saturday from the Presbyterian church, Rev. Jos Brown of Marshfield preaching a touching sermon in memory of the departed.

Deceased was born in LaFayette county, Pennsylvania, August 31st, 1835 where he grew to manhood. A year after the breaking out of the civil war he enlisted in the 14th Pennsylvania Cavelry and after a service of three years was honorably discharged. Five years later he moved to Indiana and in 1870 he moved to his present home in Nasonville. He was twice married, his first marriage taking place in 1858 to Miss Julia Ann Stuck. To this union six children were born of which three are still living. He was married again in 1879 having four children by the second marriage, two of whom are dead. In addition to his wife and five children above mentioned he is survived by two brothers and five sisters. As a good citizen and neighbor he will be deeply mourned by all who knew him."
