Oldham, Kathryn Marie (Marriage – 7 June 1975)

The Neillsville United Methodist Church was the setting Saturday June 7, for the wedding of Miss Kathryn Marie Oldham and Kevin Lee Brugger, who exchanged vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony before the Rev. William A. Noble. An afternoon reception at the American Legion Hall was followed by a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom that evening.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oldham of Neillsville and Mrs. Mary Brugger of Platteville.

The bride’s white taffeta empire-waist gown was fashioned with a sheer organza overlay. The stand up collar, wide cuffs and bodice were trimmed with venise lace, and matching lace edged her fingertip length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Miss Shari Oldham was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Debbie Olson and Miss Darlene Pfeiffer. Their flower-flocked knit polyester gowns in shades of blue, yellow and green, respectively, were accented by matching wide brimmed hats with white ribbons. Carnation bouquets in matching shades completed their ensembles.

Serving as bestman was Christopher Cummins, Platteville. Groomsmen were David Brugger, Argyle, and Phillip Bertz. Guests were seated by Dennis Oldham, brother of the bride, and Steven Brugger, brother of the groom.

Special music was by Miss Susan Schmidt and Mrs. Coletta Short.

The new Mrs. Brugger, a 1974 graduate of Neillsville High School, has been employed as a teller in a bank in Neillsville. Her husband graduated from Platteville High School in 1974 and is stationed with the 183rd Maintenance Company at Ft. Carson, Co. They will live in Colorado Springs, Co.
