A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tuesday, August 22nd at 8:30 A. M. Rev. Gerald Schuh officiating, when Miss Ceceila Schmitz, daughter of M<r. and Mrs. Jos. Schmitz of Greenwood became the bride of John Bertz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bertz of Loyal.

Miss Josephine Schmitz, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Jerome Bertz, brother of the groom acted as best man. Little Mary Ann Schmitz, sister of the bride was flower girl.

The bride wore a dress of ivory lace and a veil and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers. The bridesmaid wore green satin with lace hat and the flower girl wore pink organdie and carried a basket of mixed flowers. Th groom and best man were dressed in dark blue.

The church was beautifully decorated with cut flowers. Little Patricia Haas a solo at the offertory. A bountiful dinner and supper was served at the home of the bride to immediate relatives, covers were laid for about sixty. The home was beautifully decorated with white, pink and green with a wedding bell in the center. A lovely wedding cake was the center piece.

After a short wedding trip they will be at home to their many friends at Loyal. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Strathum of Colby, brother-in-law and sister of the groom
