Foster, Mary A. (September 9, 1915 - August 18, 2005)

Mary A Foster, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2005, in Family Heritage Care Center, Black River Falls.

Mary Revers was born on September 9, 1915 in Kokomo, IN. In 1937 she married William R Lingerfelt. He preceded her in death. On May 14, 1965, in South Bend, she married James C Foster; he preceded her in death on October 11, 1981.

Mrs. Foster worked for the South Bend Community School Corporation (Lincoln School) and was a former employee of Bendix and Associates. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and the B-K Club Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Genevieve "Jeanne" (Milton) Erickson of Hatfield; and Dorothy (Don) Slemp of South Bend, IN; two sons, Joseph "JD" (Sharon) Lingerfelt of Cuchillo, NM and William "Bill" R Lingerfelt of Niles, MI; three sisters, Elizabeth "Lee" Nowicki, Genevieve "Jean" (Garland) Newland, and Pauline Revers all of LaPorte, IN; one brother, Richard Revers also of LaPorte, IN; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; two brothers, Joseph and Edward Revers; a daughter in law, Sharon Lingerfelt and a son in law, Wendell Knickrehm.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 22, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN, with Rev. Michael Heintz officiating. Burial followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.

Memorial contributions in memory of May can be made to Black River Falls Hospice.
