Mr. Ira K. Cole, rural mail carrier on route one, who left here on Friday, Aug. 2nd, on a fifteen day vacation, was married at Canton, Minn., on Wednesday, Aug. 7th, 1912. They immediately left for a visit with Mr. Cole’s children and are expected to arrive in Colby this evening. The following notice was taken from the Canton Reporter:

"On Wednesday evening, Aug. 7th, 1912, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Reed, occurred the marriage of Mr. I.K. Cole of Colby, Wis., to Mrs. Elsie D. Edminster, Rev. R.J. McElvey of Harmony officiating.

Relatives and friends and a few friends were present to witness the ceremony and offer choice congratulations.

The groom is a leading citizen of his home town and a man of sterling worth, he holds a good position in the mail department. He is the owner of a handsome residence into which they will establish their new home.

The bride is so well and favorably known to our people that no words of our can add to the high esteem in which she is held. And her host of friends wish Mr. and Mrs. I.K. Cole much joy and happiness.

Mr. and Mrs. Cole intend to leave for Colby Saturday."

Mr. Cole’s Colby friends will join in congratulations to himself and bride.
