Strebing, Clarence (October 7, 1908 - April 7, 1978)

Funeral services for Clarence Strebing, age 69, a resident of the Owen Health Care Center for the past 45 years, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, Wis. Mr. Strebing died on April 7, 1978.

Clarence was born to August and Esther (Hewett) Strebing on October 7, 1908 in Greenville, Michigan. Clarence moved with his parents to Illinois and later to a Town of Washburn farm.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Florence Spaete of Neillsville and Mrs. James (Evelyn) Gillis of Churchill, Virginia; and two brothers, Kenneth of Harrison, Arkansas and Raymond of Utica, New York.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Hazel and Mildred; and one brother, Howard.

The Rev. Gary Clark of the Neillsville United Church of Christ officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services, with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Strebing, Clarence (7 October 1908 – 7 April 1978)

Funeral services were held for Clarence Strebing, 69, from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, April 11, with the Rev. Gary Clark of the Neillsville United Church of Christ officiating.

Strebing who had passed away on April 7, was buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Mae Peters sand “Onward Christian Soldiers,” and “Abide With Me,” accompanied by Vanita Volkert. Pallbearers were Ernest Horehled, William Matuszak, Robert Sebesta, Donald Meihack, Joe Kaczor and George Ulrich.

Those attending from out of the area were Anna Strebing and Mrs. Robert Thompson of Marshfield.
