McCutcheon, Dr./Mrs. W.R. (Gold - 01 OCT 1935)

Dr. and Mrs. W.R. McCutcheon, who have been residents of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. for more than fifty years, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 29th, 1935. They have enjoyed and for the most part unusually health lives and there are few in the county who can record their activity in a business social way. On this occasion a number of relatives and numerous friends and business associates called at their home to congratulate them. The Dr. and His wife have a wide circle of acquaintances by whom they are held in highest regard. They have the good wishes of all for a continuance for more happy anniversaries.

Fifty years is a long time in the life of any man or woman. It brings them to the home stretch. Fifty years in one town makes such lives integral parts of the building of that town, it social and business life. An so Doctor and Mrs. W.R. McCutcheon have their lives inseparably mingled with that of Thorp and "country round." Births, deaths, weddings, growth of Thorp from a sawmill hamlet to the best equipped little village in the state, the Doctor and his wife have been closely associated.

On Sunday last, at the McCutcheon home, their children, grandchildren, many relatives and friends, young and old, from near and far, were glad to give them a hand of friendship and express their congratulations and best wishes. The McCutcheons are "up the hill." May they have many years together, traveling along the "level table land of life."
