Kowalewski, Frank (26 FEB 1860 - 20 OCT 1934)

Frank Kowalewski died of chronic myocarditis, an affliction of the heart, at Powers Lake, Wis., on Saturday, Oct. 20, 1934. Deceased was born in Poland on Feb. 26, 1860 and had reached the age of 74 years, eight months and 24 days. Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, Oct. 24th, at St. Stanislaus Church at Lublin, Rev. Joseph Rapala officiating. Burial took place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Deceased’s wife died several years ago. Left to mourn are three sons, Edward and Joseph of Powers Lake, Wis., and Victor of Neillsville, Clark Co., and one daughter, Mrs. Antonette Kolan of Chicago. Deceased was an early resident of Thorp, Clark Co., having been a farmer and cabinet maker. He built the first church of St. Hedwig’s Parish, which was in use until the new church was erected in 1906.
