Schaus, John (1847? - 13 MAY 1910)

John Schaus, a resident of the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., Wis. for the past 17 years, received a paralytic stroke last Friday morning, May 13th, 1910, and died at 11:20 p.m. the same day, without regaining consciousness. Mr. Schaus was always a hard working man and was apparently in the best of health up to the time of receiving the stroke. He was in the sixty-third year of his age. He was the father of twelve children, eleven of whom, with his widow, survive to mourn the early death of a kind and indulgent husband and parent. Ed Schaus, who lives near this city, is a son of the deceased, and informed us that the funeral was held from the Lutheran Church in Dorchester, Wednesday afternoon, interment taking place in the cemetery at that place.
