Anne Ziemba, 102, of Thorp, died Monday, May 27, 2019, at her apartment under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born on July 13, 1916, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to the late Anthony and Katherine (Resnick) Welgos. Her family moved to the Lublin area when she was a young girl. She was united in marriage to Anthony Ziemba on October 17, 1936, in Chicago. Anne worked for Walgreens in Chicago for a time.

Anne is survived by her brother, Joe (MaryAnn) Jasek of Couderay, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony (2006); one sister, Bernice Prucillo; and brothers: Walter and Andrew Welgos.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the Plombon Funeral Home with Father William Felix officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Lublin.
