Morford, Will H. (26 Nov. 1874 - 9 Nov. 1935)

Will H. Morford passed away Nov. 9, at the wheel of his car. His wife and a friend, Mrs. P. F. Wendell of Chicago, were with him. Death was due to a heart attack.

Mr. Medford was born in Shelbyville, Tenn, Nov. 26, 1874. He was always active in the dry goods business, being with Marshall Field of Chicago for five years before going to Los Angeles, Calif., which has been a home of the Morfords for 24 years. For ten years he was onnected with Blackstones until that firm went out of business. For the past 14 years he has been a familiar figure at the Coulter Dry Good Company. His ready smile and co-operative spirit made him much beloved by the patrons of the store as weel as well as by all his fellow workers. They and his many friends feel a deep personal loss in his passing.

His funeral was conducted from the chapel of W. A. Brown, the Rev. A. C. Copass, a personal friend, at the simple impressive services. Two vocal numbers, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Going Home" were feelingly rendered by a friend and business associate, Mr. Stocking. The esteem in which he was held was shown by the genuine tributes paid him and the many beautiful floral offerings.

Mrs. Morford will be remembered as Bertie Lois Ascott.
