(Marriage - 27 Oct. 1935)

A pretty fall wedding was solemnized at the Evangelical parsonage at Chili Sunday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. when Miss Neoma Mundt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Mundt, became the bride of Roy Portz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Portz, Rev. Zimmerman officiated.

The bride chose for her gown, a wine colored transparent velvet. The bridesmaid was in greend. Both wore shoulder bouquets of roses and mums.

A wedding supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid for 24. A large wedding cake was the center piece for the table. The dinning room was decorated with white bells and yellow streamers.

This young couple having grown up in this neighborhood need no introduction to our readers. The bride is capable and well fitted for the tasks of caring for a home. The groom has been employed by O. Gruenke during the past season.

They will be at home to their friends in the house now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. A. Portz.
