Spry, Dorothy (Marriage - 2 Oct. 1935)

Miss Dorothy Spry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Spry, Granton, was married Oct. 2 at 1:30 p.m., to Herbert Schnable, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schnabel, Granton, the ceremony taking place at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. William A. Baumann and Rev. W. E. Schulz officiating in the double ring ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated by Mrs. Gust Holtz with white daisies, blue and white asters and yellow dahlias. Lohengrin’s Wedding March was played by Eric Sievert.

The maid of honor was Miss Doris E. Spry, sister of the bride. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Harold Schnabel.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white satin with an over jacket of white lace and carried a bouquet of white roses and iris. Miss Doris Spry was attired in medium bright blue silk crepe and carried a bouquet of blue asters and white daisies. The bride’s bouquet was made by Mrs. Gust Holtz.

A wedding supper was given at the home of the bride’s parents. A beautiful wedding cake for 50 guests was made by Mrs. Alfred Moldenhauer of Granton.

The bride graduated in 1930 from Ceneter High School at Richland Center. She has been employed for several years at the A. and P. store in Neillsville where she has made a host of warm friends by her pleasant and accommodating manner. The groom is a young man of splendid character. He is a graduate of the Reed School and is employed on the R. Gluck farm.

The couple will make their home home, following a wedding trip on a farm two miles west of Granton.
