Hall, Mabel (5 SEP 1907)

Miss Mabel Hall, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Davis K. Hall, and Rev. G.W. Austin were united in the bonds of holy matrimony at the home of the brides parents in this village, Thursday forenoon, Sept. 5th, 1907, the ceremony was performed by Presiding Elder Straw of Eau Claire. There were present only relatives of the bride and goom and a very few intimate friends. The bride was attended by Misses Mabel Cook and Myrtle Klein, the groom being attended by Messrs. M. Matteson and H.R. Zell. After the ceremony the company were regaled with a sumptuous wedding feast.

The bride is a most estimable young lady, attractive in appearance and of a cheerful and pleasant disposition. She has a large acquaintance in Unity and vicinity, all of whom are admirers of her splendid womanly character. She has lived here all her life and during the past few years has been the obliging assistant at the post office.

The groom has been pastor of the M.E. Church here and at Colby for the past year, during which time, by his earnest and devoted work and pleasant personality, he has formed a lasting friendship with his congregation and the people of the community in general. (Unity Register)

Rev. and Mrs. Austin departed Monday for LaCrosse, to attend the M.E. Conference, after which they will visit Jamestown Exposition and other points of interest in the East. They expect to be "at home" to their friends at the M.E. Parsonage in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), the first week of October.

The Phonograph extends the congratulations and well wishes of the congregation and citizens generally to our pastor and his bride.
