Maas, John (20 OCT 1857 - 25 FEB 1907)

Died, at his home in the East Ward (Colby, Wis.), on Monday afternoon, Feb. 25, 1907, of consumption, Mr. John Maas, in the 50th year of his age.

Deceased was born in Germany, Oct. 20th, 1857. He has resided in Colby about ten years, and worked at his trade, mason and bricklayer, in the surrounding country, most of the time. The past year his health has been so poor he confined himself to light work around home. He was working near the house Monday afternoon when taken with a hemorrhage, and passed away before reaching his bed. He leaves to mourn his death, a wife and one daughter in this city, and three children by his first wife, John, Anna and Joe, living in Sheboygan.

The funeral was held this Thursday morning from St. Mary’s Church.
