Gruber, Lonnie (1883? - 1935)
Word came to the Prock and Linster families Monday morning that Mrs. Geo. Gruber, 52, had passed away at her home at Dubuque, Ia., after a siege with pneumonia. She was Miss Lonnie Neis before her marriage, coming to Clark County with her parents when she was 18 years of age, the family settling near Christie. For a time she kept house for Father Hauck at his home at Arcadia, and later went to Dubuque, where she held a similar position. She is survived by her husband and three children, Paul, Mary and James. Mrs. Gruber will be remembered by many friends throughout this community, who will be grieved to hear of the death of this fine woman. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at Dubuque.
