Wittlinger, Charles O. (12 May 1905 - 1 Nov. 1967)

Loyal - Charles O. Wittlinger, 62, Amery, former resident of Loyal, died of a heart attack Wednesday morning at Amery.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal with the Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiating. Burial will be made in the town of Beaver cemetery.

The body will repose at the Myre Funeral Home in Loyal from noon Friday until the time of services.

Mr. Wittlinger was born on May 12, 1905, in the town of Beaver, Clark County, and had lived in this area until 12 years ago when he moved to a farm near Amery.

His marriage to Irene Steffen, who survives, took place in 1937.

Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Donna) Karis, and Mrs. Matson (Patsy) Walker, both Rice Lake; a son, Eugene, Amery; six sisters, Mrs. Lena Bauer, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Walter (Ayer), Riplinger; Mrs. Meda Miller, Milwaukee; Mrs. Julius Lange, Holcombe; Mrs. Otto Becker, Owen; and Mrs. Milton Songstad, Derando; and five grandchildren.

Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
