Kammers, Mary Jane (17 Jan. 1880 - 1968)

Neillsville - Mary Jane Kammers, 87, a lifelong resident of Clark County, died Thursday afternoon at Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville, where she had resided since 1964.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Georgas Funeral Home. Jerome Berger of Jehovah Witnesses will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the town of Beaver at Loyal.

The former Mary Jane Ayer was born Jan. 17. 1880 in Clark County and was married at Loyal to William J. Kammers, who preceded her in death July 11, 1954. The couple had operated a farm in the Clark County area.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rosalie) Rice, Peoria, Ill; two sons, William A. Kammers, Greenwood; Frank Kammers, Owen; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Adlia Wisnosky, St. Paul, Minn.; and two brothers, Walter Ayer, Riplinger; and Owen Ayer, Madison.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, six brothers and two sisters.
