Schleicher, Judith C. (Marriage - 27 April 1963)

Miss Dorothy Kaiser played the wedding processional and recessional for the wedding of Judith C. Schleicher, Colby; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bjorn Owen, and Kenneth H. Leonard, Abbotsford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leonhard, Abbotsford, which was performed by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, on Saturday, April 27, at 6 p.m.

Mr. Bjorn gave his daughter in marriage at the nuptials for which Miss Jackie Scheel accompanied Miss Donna Ehrenreich as she sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and the "Song of Ruth." Altar vases were filled with white gladioli and pink carnations.

The bride wore a ballerina-length gown of Chantilly-type lace over aqua bridal bouquet neckline of the fitted bodice enhanced with sequins and pearls. The controlled skirt was styled with glittering sequins down the front and the softly-gathered back was accented by a cabbage rose at the waistline.

She wore a bridal headpiece with a blush veil and carried pink roses.

Miss Carol Buss, Owen, the maid of honor, and Mrs. Ruth Witt, Curtiss, the bridesmaid, were seen in organza street-length dresses in aqua. Their bateau necklines draped to Vs at the back and their double-bouffant skirts were styled with small bows at the front waist. They had matching pillbox hats and each carried a single long stemmed white rose.

Harvey Witt, Curtiss, was the best man and Donald Oehler, Abbotsford, the groomsman, Kenneth Wilhelmi and Kenneth Kapell, both of Abbotsford, performed the ushering tasks.

The wedding reception and dance followed the ceremony and were held at the Abbotsford Village Hall.

Mrs. Leonhard, a 1960 graduate of Owen-Withee Senior High School, has been employed as a cost clerk by the Packaging Corporation of America, Colby. Mr. Leonhard, who is employed by the same corporation, was graduated from Abbotsford, Wis. High School in 1958.

The newlyweds are residing in Colby.
